CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) – At a Kanawha County Board of Education meeting on Monday, members voted to fire teacher assistant James Lynch.
13 News obtained a statement from Kanawha County Schools Communications Director Briana Warner:
James Lynch was a classroom assistant at Horace Mann High School, but left that class in March, before the alleged abuse was discovered in May by vice-principal Brittany Harris. In our investigation of the incident discovered in May, we reviewed video footage of this classroom during the three months leading up to the May incident. During this review, we discovered incidents involving Mr. Lynch which we deemed inappropriate, which led to his termination by the board of directors.
