The Haryana government on Sunday allowed residential universities in the state to physically teach after adopting SOPs for appropriate COVID behavior. “All students in the hostels can be given priority to be fully immunized,” the state government said.
The order issued on Sunday by Chief Secretary and President Vijai Vardhan said the Mahamari Alert – Surakshit Haryana was extended until October 18.
In the latest order, the state government said a decision to reopen residential universities would be made on October 15.
In addition to this, the government has also allowed Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) to open with 100% participation in strict compliance with social distancing rules and appropriate standards of behavior. “The skills development and industrial training department, Haryana will immediately issue guidelines for the implementation of these orders,” the order said.
Colleges and polytechnics have already been ordered to reopen for students, as well as training institutions, libraries and training institutes.
