The iconic Paul Finebaum always offers an inside look at all things SEC football, which is why college football fans will likely want to get their hands on his next book.

Finebaum announced on Monday that he is writing a book centered around the off-season feud between Alabama’s Nick Saban and Texas A&M’s Jimbo Fisher. Georgia’s Kirby Smart will also be a central figure in the new publication.

Finebaum plans to work side-by-side with AL.com’s John Talty to detail the relationships between the three.

“It’s something I never thought I would do again,” Finebaum told AL.com. “The last writing I did was this last book which came out in 2014. When it ended I said it was a great experience. I had a wonderful career as a writer, but it is certainly far in my past and in my rearview mirror.

Finebaum knows the SEC inside out. It will no doubt give fans a solid behind-the-scenes look at the Saban-Fisher feud.

“.@finebaum dust off the typewriter, work with @JTalty, on the book by Nick Saban. To concentrate @AggieFootballJimbo Fisher’s feud, Saban’s relationship with @KirbySmartUGA & NIL is Saban’s “greatest challenge to career longevity”. Hollywood is also interested,” said Mark Heim.

It’s worth considering whether or not a “book” is really worth it. How many pages can they get out of it?

“A whole book? LMAO! I wouldn’t even finish a long article on this,” one fan said.

“A chapter maybe, but a book?” wrote a fan.

The book is expected to be published in September 2023. Stay tuned.
