A Family Tradition of Art (Page 1 of 8)
Painting
Painting by Albert Callais

In the 1950's my grandfather Alber Callais was in his 80th decade. He saw where Grandma Moses had started painting her stories in Life Magazine. He said if she can do it so can I.

So he picked up any medium that he could possibly paint with, whether it was plywood, some cardboard, some particle board, there's even a paint by number set he turned around and painted on the opposite side. He painted with house paint, oil paint, any paint he could possibly paint with and he also made the frames out of what ever he had left over.
