Midway Grocery

It was like a meeting place for people to come and just share stories and troubles and their happiness, if you will, baby births through the years. Also when Governor Long was running for office he stood on the front porch and made a speech and all the people would gather out in the road and listen to his speech.

Bayou Grosse Tete

He'd give away sausage by the pound, that he wanted to. When he'd leave this area he would go up to the next area, which was Rosedale. From Rosedale he'd go to Maringouin; and from Maringouin I don't know where he went.
